Issues

  • This program needs two extra dlls in order to run, namely: riched20.dll and riched32.dll place them in your system32 folder.

This folder usually resides in ~/.transgaming/c_drive/windows/system32/ if you use the commandline version of cedega or in ~/.point2play/<game name>/c_drive/windows/system32/ if you use Point2Play.

  • The EULA is not displayed. Make sure you've read the HTML Section regarding the display of licence agreements.
  • There are some problems when having one Point2Play entry for Thief. (You have an entry in Thief and installed all Thief games into this.) Thief and Thief Gold have the same shortcut. This collides with each other. It confuses Darkloader and causes I/O errors. Thief Gold can play Thief 1 Fanmissions anyway. So it's probably best to install Thief Gold and Thief 2 into the same Point2Play title instead of all 3 games.

Description

DarkLoader enables you to quickly and easily play thief fanmade missions.

Notes

If you use Point2Play, you will need to install this program in the same directory as you've installed any of the Thief games. Personally, i've just created 1 entry in Point2Play called Thief and installed all my Thief games on that. Then I installed Darkloader so I can play either Thief 1, Gold or Thief 2 games.

  • In order to work around the menu glitch with default settings when running Thief, switch off Accelerated Interprocess Communication and switch on Decrease WineServer Priority. These settings don't do anything to Darkloader, but since Darkloader starts Thief, Thief inherits the settings from Darkloader.
